Description
During the spring sandhill crane migration, they land along the Platte River in Nebraska to eat, recuperate, and rest up before heading along to their next part of their journey. The cranes generally come through the central part of Nebraska, in the Grand Island and Gibbon areas. Up to 300,000-500,000 cranes may be spotted at the high times along the Platte during March and April.
These two cranes were soaring overhead, appearing to be having a conversation as they flew.
