Description
It was early in the morning, northwestern Yellowstone National Park. I had just arisen from a restful sleep, to 33 degrees. After fitfully breaking camp, I was to head north from Indian Creek campground towards Mammoth Hot Springs for petrol and a hot cup of coffee. I could barely see the road ahead, let alone this raven perched alongside the 2-lane road, watching, as if waiting for something to shine through. The trees and mountains were barely visible in the distance; truth was not far behind as the sun began it's upward trek, and with it, clarity. The raven knows.
